A
Thriller is a genre that uses suspense and anticipation to engage the audience. The main aim for a Thriller is to keep the audience
entertained, alert and on the edge of their seats so that they can't wait to
find out what happens next. At the same time they dread what might happen because of the danger that is usually present in this style of film. The main character in these films, in other words, the protagonist is set against a problem,
which may be an escape, a mission, or a mystery. No matter what sub-genre a
Thriller film falls into, it will always highlight the danger that the main
character faces. The tension with the main problem builds up throughout the
film and leads to a highly stressful climax.
